Als vor 8 Jahren das neue Jahrtausend begann,
lieferte Paula den passenden Soundtrack:
elektronische Popmusik ohne Schnickschnack, eine
musikalische Himmelfahrt Richtung Zukunft. Als es
passierte war die szenische Begeisterung gross,
aber ansonsten war man musikalisch doch woanders
unterwegs. Manchmal dauert es eben lΣnger bis eine
neue Zeit auch in der Musik ihre Entsprechung
findet. So wie jetzt: Seit 12 Monaten kommt
grossartiger neuer Pop aus allen Richtungen. Man
hat den Eindruck, das Jahrzehnt hat in Wirklichkeit
erst 2007 begonnen.
Da haben wir doch Glⁿck gehabt, dass Paula immer
noch da ist und sich mit einem sch÷nen neuen Album
zurⁿckmeldet. Natⁿrlich sind die Texte erwachsener
geworden. Aber sie bleiben schn÷rkellos. Und auch
der Sound findet seine Kraft in ⁿberzeugender
Einfachheit. So wie gute Popmusik halt sein muss.
Warum kompliziert, wenn es auch einfach geht: Die
Jetztzeit ist bei Paula angekommen und das ist ein
gutes Gefⁿhl. Nicht nur fⁿr Paula.
